THE PIEVANIA MUSEUM

INSIDE THE SMALL CHURCH OF SAN CRISTOFORO, IN THE HISTORICAL CENTER OF CORCIANO, THE PIEVANIA MUSEUM SHOWS THE MOST REPRESENTATIVE DEVOTING TESTIMONIES OF RELIGIOUS LIFE WITHIN THE SMALL CORCIANO COMMUNITY.

Established inside the small Church of San Cristoforo, in the historical center of Corciano, the Pievania Museum shows the most representative devoting testimonies of religious life within the small Corciano community. The exhibit includes sacred images, frescoes from the 15th century, finely chiseled reliquaries, sacred ornaments, votive offerings and precious documents such as seals, scrolls, account ledgers, inventory records and indulgence concessions. The Museum is dedicated to Giuseppe Laudati, a painter from Corciano (1669-1737) and still treasures some of his most important works.
