CASA CONTADINA MUSEUM

THE FARMING CULTURE WAS A FOCAL POINT OF LOCAL DEVELOPMENT UNTIL A FEW DECADES AGO, TO BE DISCOVERED IN THIS MUSEUM BUILT IN THE SEVENTIES.

Built in the 70s, the Museum is the tangible proof of a culture strictly connected to the farming world and economy, which was prevalent in Corciano until a few decades ago. The reconstruction of a typical Umbrian country house with a kitchen, a bedroom, a granary and a stable, with common pre-industrial farming tools and furnitures. Every item represents a life committed to family and religion through hard labour. It is also possible to finger read an explanation in braille of what is inside the Museum.
