Terre del Perugino

TOURIST INFORMATION OFFICE

PANICALE TOURIST INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE, GUIDED TOURS TO MUSEUMS, CHURCHES AND EVERY MONUMENT IN TOWN AND ITS TERRITORY.

The Panicale Info Point is the first step towards the discovery of one of the Borghi più Belli d’Italia, nestled among the Trasimeno hills. The ancient castle still maintains its characteristic medieval appearance, with the two main gates Perugina and Fiorentina, the Palace of the Podestà and the concentric streets and alleys. The most important Renaissance examples are without doubt the two frescoes “Martirio di San Sebastiano” and “Incoronazione della Vergine” painted by a young Raffaello. The so called Ars Panicalensis is the ancient embroidered tulle canvas art, and it can be seen inside the Museum in the Church of Sant’Agostino. The “Cesare Caporali” Theater is one of the smallest theaters in Italy.
