The Public Library of Città della Pieve “Francesco Melosio” opened in 1985 inside the Palazzo della Corgna, an historical palace from the 16th century. Located at the ground floor of the palace, the library is divided into two main sections: Teens and Adults. The book heritage consists of 48000 volumes, more than 4000 of them are part of the Ancient Fund. The Ancient Fund is the most important and precious collection, with books from before 1831, various manuscripts, more than 40 incunabula, various post-incunabula and two perfectly restored statutes of Città della Pieve.
