PUBLIC LIBRARY “AGANOOR POMPILJ” AND THE HISTORICAL ARCHIVES

LOCATED INSIDE A 19TH CENTURY PALACE, THE LIBRARY IS NAMED AFTER THE POETESS VITTORIA AGANOOR POMPILJ AND MAINTANS A LIBRARY HERITAGE OF ABOUT 13.500 VOLUMES.

Located inside a 19th century palace, the library was named after the poetess Vittoria Aganoor Pompilj and maintains a library heritage of about 13.500 volumes. Other than the general section, there is also one for local culture, one for children, and a video archive with the projection room. Of particular interest is the Aganoor Pompilj Fund with monographs, magazines and newspapers. The building is also the seat of the Municipal Historical Archives of Magione.The Library arranges many cultural initiatives and workshops in addition to the regular services, such as the literary award “Vittoria Aganoor Pompilj”.
